Evil and Company - Seventh Sanctum Contest

Another contest, a new entry. (Contest rules can be found here)

Generators Used: Evil Name Generator & Evil Minion Generator

Results:

Evil Name Gen: Waveblade The Necromantic

Evil Minion Gen: Demonic Hounds, Dark Ones

Short Snippet of a Story behind the artwork:

Waveblade the Necromantic, or to those of the Royal Court of Dökkálfar Lady Rozarie Waveblade, is a powerful necromancer from a line of mages, witches, and Summoners. Born the youngest of the large family, she was taught only what all females of the dökkálfar are taught; priestesshood, magecraft, and the subtilities of being a female of noble blood. However, her interest in the undead and demons carried her quickly to the learnings of the necromancers. Rising quickly, she soon aquired the ability to have demonic hounds as familiars and the skill, talent, and knowledge to raise the dead; not just the newly dead, but the dead of long past. Those who are nothing but bones. Those she raises are known as the "Dark Ones" as she raizes villiages, cities, and farmlands in the name of her family, the Waveblades, and her Goddess, Ozarith.

As such, Waveblade raises the dead and hunts those who are enemies of her people with her Demonic Hounds and Dark Ones by her side.

Other Information: Necromantic means "conjuration of the spirits of the dead for purposes of magically revealing the future or influencing the course of events " (http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/necromantic)
And so, we have here the lovely Waveblade the Necromantic (aka Necromancer) with her familiars, demonic hounds, and her undead legion known as "The Dark Ones".

Seventh Sanctum Contests! - Rock Mage

Well, I stumbled across this contest at Seventh Sanctum while searching for saga themes for The Legends of Mernac. I thought I'd see what came up and if I had anything in my paltry Poser Library that I might use to create something. I used the Character Class/Profession Generator and came up with Rock Mage.

And here is what I came up with that matches that! I used Poser 6 and Photoshop to create this unique piece.

Since mages are allowed to wear leather but aren't really allowed much else in the way of weaponry (other than the occassional sword - eg gandolf - or quarterstaff-like weapons), I thought my rock and roll chick was rather apt for the Rock Mage....

~Jen

Rock Mage is a subclass of the General class of "Mage". They have all powers, strengths, etc. as the class mage with the exception that all their magical powers are stored not in typical spell books but in their choice of guitar. For each level a rock mage progresses, they gain more memorized songs as well as spells. At level five, they become semi-professionals and have a small fan following. At level ten their fan following is medium sized with a manager. At each level after level ten, they progress to professional and at level 20 they become icons.

When a mage falters from their path, they loose their followings and become fodder for the paparrazi in their setting. To return to their path they must go through rehab and do community service for a year.

All base adjustments for each race apply to this subclass.

New Artwork Finished

Well, this week has been rather intereting and fun. I've manged to complete several new pieces of artwork for Mark Wagner both for his catering business, Fairy Tale Catering, as well as for the movie "Way of the Wicked". I've also begun toying around with new clothings and poses for another movie/script he is working on, "Caught". I have even managed to come up with an intriguing piece for his son, which I hope he'll enjoy. Though I admit, it does need some work on the lighting as well as postwork before I can give it to him.

Another job I've been working on is the website for Fairy Tale Catering and the blog that will soon, I hope, become active. The website is almost complete; all that is left is finishing up the "packages" page. Hopefully, that won't take too long.

Here are two samples of what I've done:

Gangster Mob Boss and Bodyguard/henchman for "Caught"

3 Succubi for "Way of the Wicked"

(final version has a darker lighting to it, and

the one in the robe DOES have on panties...)

Welcome

Ah, I finally have a nice little blog where I can post my latest creations (both rough draft and final and everything in between) without cluttering up my other Blog. Here is where you can comment, complain, and make suggestions on my artwork both for Mernac and for my own personal endeavors. I will also post any and all commissions I am requested for here also....if I end up getting any, that is! lol

In any case, this blog will probably not be as active as my other, since there won't be as much I wish to post. Not surprising, but...oh well!
